Alex He/Him Owner
Hi! I'm Alex, I am the heart behind Foxstead Pet Care. You will definitely notice my Britishism sneak into my updates like calling a yard a "Garden", a leash a "Lead" or saying your dog was chuffed after a walk, it's all part of the charm.
I bring a warm, open minded approach to pet care, shaped by deep appreciation for cultural differences and a life long love of animals. Whether I'm hoovering up pet hair or popping the bin out, you can rest easy knowing your pets and home are in kind, capable hands.
Elle She/Her Administrator
Hi! I'm Elle, I am the admin for Foxstead Pet Care, I also take care of pets when needed! I have had pets in all stages of my life, there isn't a moment when seeing a furry friend doesn't light up my face!
You will interact with me to schedule bookings, invoicing, friendly reminders and questions and sometimes you'll get to choose me to watch your pets!
I have an anxious pup that I rescued six years ago, he has been by my side through everything and I have been by his. He has helped me learn all I need to know about anxious pups, making me the perfect fit to step in when needed.
What Our Clients Say
Real Reviews from Happy Pet Owners
Alex and Foxstead are thorough and caring while watching our dogs. He will give updates as requested as well as reports on anything out of the ordinary. It is nice to know we have someone trustworthy to leave our guys with for drop in visits or overnight stays. He also just got First Aid and CPR trained which is another bonus. Charlie and Hurley would give two thumbs up (if they had thumbs).

We just used Foxstead Pet Care for the first time today, and it certainly won’t be the last. Alexander was easy to communicate with, and happily worked with our schedule so that he could watch our new pup while we had to be out of the house for half a day. This being our dogs’s first stranger, Alex was able to earn his trust and have a lovely day with him playing in the yard and napping on the couch. Even our timid cats came around to say hi! And afterwards, we got a full summary of how everything went along with photos from the day. I couldn’t be happier with this service overall.
Alexander from Foxstead Pet Care dog-sat my new rescue dog while my fiancé and I were at work last week. I would 1000000% recommend him as a dogsitter and will definitely be calling him again to look after our Josie. 10/10, 5 stars, can't express how grateful we are that he took such great care of our baby last week.
Josie has separation anxiety, is very high energy, nervous around new people, has lots of behaviours, and is still learning her manners. Alex was able to gain her trust almost immediately. He redirected her naughty behaviours, played with her in the yard, took her for walks, and even taught her a few new things! He was also very respectful of our home and very friendly. His intake process was very professional and he provided us with daily updates/reports with lots of photos.
Most importantly, Josie absolutely fell in love with him last week. Thank you for looking after our baby, we appreciate you!

Alexander was an amazing sitter for my little guy. My dog Oliver is very protective of me in a territorial way. If a new person comes into my home, he does not like it. I was so surprised that when Alexander came to meet him, much to my surprise Oliver stayed calm and relaxed. While I was away, Alexander took great care of Oliver. I requested updates a couple of times a day, which I received. Alexander really went above and beyond what I expected and even took time to ask a friend to give Oliver a ride in the car which is something he loves. I felt so completely at ease about my home and my little guy the whole time I was away. On top of everything else Alexander did, my place looked a little better than when I left! I will not use another dog sitter because they would be disappointing after the excellent job Alexander did!
